A redesigned app that opens in a conversation with your assistant, and an OpenClaw upgrade you can run from inside it.

## Highlights

### Chat first

HolaClaw now opens in your assistant's chat. Every conversation sits in the sidebar, with an unread dot and a badge when it came in over Telegram or Slack, and your chats stay where you left them when you restart the app.

### Upgrade OpenClaw in the app

When your assistant runs an OpenClaw version this release was not tested with, a banner offers to upgrade it in place. This release brings the bundled assistant to OpenClaw 2026.8.2.

## Changes

### Feature

- Open HolaClaw in a conversation with your assistant, with all your chats in the sidebar and the rest of the app beneath them.
- See how full a chat is with a meter in its header, and open a details view that lists the files your assistant made, with a download for each, and the links mentioned in the conversation.
- Type `/` in the composer to browse and pick your assistant's commands.
- Upgrade your assistant's OpenClaw from a banner in the app when it is behind the version this release supports.
- Change which browser your assistant drives after creating it, under Host in the app or with `holaclaw browser set`.

### Fix

- Fixed a chat getting stuck on "Connecting" until you restarted the app. The connection now reconnects on its own, including after your Mac wakes from sleep.
- Fixed replies your assistant produced elsewhere, such as an answer on Telegram, streaming into the open chat as if they belonged to it.
- Fixed starting a new conversation failing on the first attempt and leaving a pending approval nothing would clear.
- Fixed an assistant rejecting every request for a few minutes after being started from stopped.
- Fixed troubleshooting bundles growing to several gigabytes, because each one contained every bundle exported before it.

### Other

- Updated the bundled assistant to OpenClaw 2026.8.2, with its plugins now pinned alongside it.
- Your assistant no longer runs OpenClaw's own update check or shows its update notices. HolaClaw handles upgrades.
- Leave the assistant name out of CLI commands when only one is installed.
- Run each local model at the sampler settings its authors publish.
