Connect PostHog to OpenClaw

Authorize the PostHog connector so your assistant can query your product analytics, insights, and feature flags in plain language.

2 min read Updated June 11, 2026 ConnectorsSetup

Connect PostHog and your assistant can answer questions about how your product is actually doing β€” pulling product analytics, reading insights, and checking which feature flags are live, all in plain language. Instead of opening a dashboard and clicking around, you just ask, and the answer comes back in whatever channel you're chatting in.

Asking how your product is doing

What you'll need

  • A PostHog account you can sign in to in a browser, with access to the project whose data you want to ask about.
  • A running assistant. Connectors are set up per-assistant β€” your assistant (powered by OpenClaw under the hood) does the authorizing inside its own private VM, so it needs to be awake.

Connect it

  1. Open the assistant you want to give access to, and make sure it's running.
  2. Click Connectors in the sidebar to open the catalog.
  3. Type PostHog in the search box to find it.
  4. Click Authorize on the PostHog card.
  5. Your browser opens PostHog's own consent screen β€” on PostHog's site, not in HolaClaw.
  6. Sign in if you're not already, then review what's being requested and approve it.
  7. Switch back to HolaClaw. The connector verifies the connection and moves to the Active section. That's it.

For the full generic walkthrough and troubleshooting, see Connect a service.

Try it

Once PostHog is active, ask your assistant something only your analytics know:

  • How are signups trending this week?
  • Which feature flags are enabled right now?
  • Summarize our most-viewed insight.

If real numbers come back, the connection is live.

If it stops working

If the connector shows Re-authorize, your PostHog sign-in has expired or was revoked. Click Re-authorize and approve again in the browser β€” nothing to reconfigure, you're just refreshing the access. For anything else, see the troubleshooting in Connect a service.

A quick word on privacy

PostHog's access token lives inside this assistant's private VM on your Mac. It's never stored on HolaClaw's servers, and we never see your password β€” you sign in on PostHog's own page. Connectors are per-assistant, so authorizing PostHog here gives no other assistant access to it. You can also revoke access anytime from PostHog's own authorized-apps settings.
